The police investigation into the wildfire at Kalo Chorio in Larnaca district has been completed, paving the way for the case file to be submitted to the Legal Service for a decision on any potential criminal responsibilities arising from the incident.
Responding to a query from the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), Marina Christodoulou, spokesperson for the Police Press Office, said the investigation has now concluded and the file was forwarded to Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
"It is expected to be forwarded to the Legal Service within the coming days," she said.
The Legal Service will examine the findings of the investigation and determine whether any criminal offences may have been committed and whether further legal action is warranted.
