At Least Eight Businesses Damaged After Paphos Police Operation

A series of attacks and acts of vandalism were reported at shops across Paphos district on Friday night, hours after police concluded an operation in Mouttalos.

According to information available so far, young people allegedly targeted several premises, causing damage to at least eight businesses.

Police operation in Mouttalos

The operation formed part of efforts to tackle offending in the area following recent attacks on food delivery riders and complaints from residents about the behaviour of groups of young people.

Further incidents were recorded after the police operation ended, prompting renewed concern among residents and business owners.

Damage reported across three areas

The incidents occurred in several parts of the district, including Paphos, Chloraka and Tala.

The relevant authorities are recording and assessing the damage, while police investigations are continuing to identify those allegedly involved.

The sequence of events, with the police operation preceding the vandalism, is also being examined as part of the investigation.
