Police in Larnaca are investigating an assault on a 34-year-old food delivery driver who was allegedly attacked by two individuals riding a motorcycle in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to the complaint filed with police, the incident occurred at around 2:30am on Dianellou Street in Larnaca.
The delivery driver told investigators that he was riding his moped when he was approached by two individuals travelling on a motorcycle.
The suspects allegedly struck him with a club, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and collide with a parked car.
The 34-year-old subsequently fell onto the roadway and was dragged along the surface, while the two suspects fled the scene.
He was taken to Larnaca General Hospital, where he received first aid treatment before being discharged.
The Larnaca Minor Offences Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
