Traffic restrictions will come into force on Archbishop Makarios III Avenue from Tuesday, 15 September, as part of road improvement works in Paphos and Ierochipia, in the Konia area.
The works are due to begin at 8am on Tuesday and continue until 18 September 2026, with motorists advised to use nearby roads where possible to avoid congestion and delays.
Lane closure in Konia
According to Paphos Municipality, work will be carried out on the road surface and pavements as part of a project to improve a section of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue within the municipalities of Paphos and Ierochipia.
One traffic lane will be closed, specifically the lane leading from Konia towards Paphos, between the junctions with Ahepans Street and Thasos Street.
Drivers advised to use alternative routes
During the works, the continuous flow of vehicles from Konia towards Paphos will be maintained. Additional traffic arrangements may be introduced depending on the progress of the project.
Paphos Municipality said a traffic management plan has been prepared to minimise disruption to the road network.
Drivers are urged to exercise particular caution, follow the temporary traffic arrangements and use alternative routes where possible.
