A 15-year-old girl is being treated in hospital and is out of danger after falling from the third floor of an apartment building in the Neapoli area of Limassol, landing on the roof of a wooden pergola on the ground floor. Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the fall.
According to a police statement, reports indicate that other minors were present in the apartment at the time, and that alcohol had apparently been consumed beforehand.
A rescue team from the Fire Service responded to the scene, reaching the teenager and, working with the Ambulance Service, securing her on an immobilisation stretcher.
She was then handed over to an ambulance crew and taken to the Accident and Emergency Department of Limassol General Hospital.
According to police, the 15-year-old is out of danger, while examinations continue to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
