Aris Papacharalambous, 16, died on Saturday after being hospitalised in Nicosia since 7 August 2026 following a road collision in Aglantzia, Police said.
The teenager had been struck by a car while using a personal mobility device on Larnakos Avenue in the early hours of 7 August.
Driver tested positive for alcohol
According to the Police statement issued at the time of the collision, the driver of the vehicle had allegedly tested positive for alcohol.
The reading was 73mg%, compared with the maximum legal limit of 22mg%.
Papacharalambous remained in hospital following the collision until his death on Saturday.
