A fire that broke out near the Polis Chrysochous municipal campsite in Paphos district on Sunday morning was brought under full control within 20 minutes, the Forestry Department said. The department, part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, said the fire started at 8.15am on 27 September and was brought under full control at 8.35am, after burning a small area of reeds and brambles. Three members of the Forestry Department with one fire engine and two members of the Fire Service with one fire engine took part in putting it out. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
