The death toll from the shipwreck off Kyrenia has risen to 22 after another body was recovered during ongoing search operations.
According to a statement issued by the "administration" in the north, procedures to identify the deceased have already begun.
“Within the framework of the ongoing investigations following the maritime accident off Kyrenia, another body has been located. The necessary procedures to establish the person's identity have begun,” the statement said.
With the latest recovery, the number of confirmed victims has increased to 22.
Search operations in the area are continuing as "authorities" seek to locate six people who remain missing.
