Several major roads in Nicosia will be closed to traffic on Sunday, 18 October, due to the RUN AS ONE charity running event, which is scheduled to take place from 7:30am until 1:00pm.
According to police, traffic measures will come into effect from 6:30am to ensure the safe conduct of the race.
Roads affected
On Griva Digeni Avenue, the two southbound lanes heading from Nicosia towards Engomi will be closed between the traffic-light junction with Prodromou Avenue and the junction with 28th October Street.
The two northbound lanes of the same avenue will also be closed between 28th October Street and the Colocassides roundabout.
Archangelou Avenue closure
Traffic will be suspended in both directions on Archangelou Avenue, between its junction with Griva Digeni Avenue and the intersection with Lefkotheou and Makedonitissis avenues.
Nicos Kranidiotis Street affected
Nicos Kranidiotis Street will also be closed in both directions between its junction with Griva Digeni Avenue and the roundabout connecting with Theodosis Pieridis Street.
Advice to motorists
Drivers travelling in the affected areas are advised to take the traffic arrangements into account and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and inconvenience.
