Hot Weather, Midday Showers and Risk of Hail

Warm conditions with local storms and a risk of hail expected, mainly inland and in mountainous areas.

Today, after early low cloud and patchy mist clear, the weather will be mostly fine, though at times increased cloud is expected to bring isolated showers or a thunderstorm around midday and early afternoon, mainly in mountainous and inland areas. Hail is possible during storms. Winds will be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, becoming locally strong in the afternoon, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to a little rough. Temperatures will reach 33°C inland, around 28°C on the coast and 25°C in the mountains.

Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, with periods of low cloud and local mist or fog. Winds will be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light, 3 Beaufort, and the sea calm to slight. Temperatures will drop to around 20°C inland and on the coast, and 16°C in the mountains.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, increased cloud is expected, with isolated showers or thunderstorms developing after midday, mainly inland and in mountainous areas. Hail is possible in storms.

Temperatures will remain near seasonal averages over the period.
