Direct Democracy Calls Nationwide March Against Electricity Prices

The party says high power costs weigh on every household and business, regardless of how people vote.

Direct Democracy is organising a nationwide march in Nicosia on Saturday, 17 October, in protest against electricity prices. Protesters will gather at 4pm at Eleftheria Square before marching to the Presidential Palace, where the protest will take place at 5pm. In a statement, party president Fidias Panayiotou called on citizens to join the mobilisation and demand immediate and meaningful solutions to the cost of electricity.

Cost burden on households

The party says high prices are weighing on households and businesses, describing the issue as "a daily problem that affects everyone, regardless of how each person votes."
