Iran has warned that it would retaliate against Israel if its infrastructure comes under attack, as hostilities between Tehran and Washington resumed this week.
Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said the country would respond to any such strike.
Tehran issues warning
“We will respond to any attack on infrastructure, and the criminal Zionist regime will not escape,” Zolghadr said in remarks broadcast by Iranian state television.
His statement comes amid renewed fighting between Iran and the United States and heightened tensions across the Middle East.
