Ten commercial ships crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, according to preliminary data from the shipping sector seen by Reuters.
The number was up from the seven ships that passed through the strait the previous day, but remained below the average of approximately 17 daily crossings recorded over the preceding 10 days.
The figures may change, as several ships have recently been switching off devices that transmit data on their location while navigating the passage.
