The President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, arrived at the Presidential Palace at 10am for talks with the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides.
President Nausėda was accorded an official welcome on arrival. He was received by President Christodoulides, while a guard of honour rendered military honours, followed by the playing of the national anthems of the two countries.
The Lithuanian President then laid a wreath at the statue of Archbishop Makarios and subsequently entered the Presidential Palace together with President Christodoulides for a private meeting.
This will be followed by expanded talks between the delegations of the two countries.
