Konstantinos Karseras Announces Candidacy for Paphos MP With DISY

Konstantinos Karseras has announced his candidacy for Member of Parliament in Paphos with the Democratic Rally for the parliamentary elections scheduled for 24 May 2026. The 25-year-old outlines youth engagement, transparency and development policy among his stated priorities.

In a written statement, Mr Karseras said his decision to seek the trust of voters was not driven by personal ambition but by a sense of responsibility and service. “There are moments when circumstances call on you to step forward, clearly and responsibly, guided solely by the interest of society,” he noted.

Academic and student representation background

Born in 2000, Mr Karseras was raised and educated in Paphos, maintaining what he describes as a consistent presence in social action and volunteering. He completed his military service and was active in the student movement during his studies.

He served as President of the FPK Protoporia at the Cyprus University of Technology and currently holds the position of President of the Pancyprian Federation of Student Unions. He also participated for three terms in the Youth Parliament, including one term as Committee Chair.

In addition, he served as Secretary for International Relations at the Cyprus Youth Council, representing young people in European forums and dialogue processes.

Professional experience

Mr Karseras worked at the House of Representatives in the Office of the President of the House, where he states he gained practical knowledge of parliamentary procedures. He also served as a Research Associate at the Cyprus University of Technology.

He is currently employed as Director of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer in a group of companies.

Stated priorities

According to his statement, his candidacy aims to strengthen youth participation in public life, promote policies of transparency and contribute to shaping contemporary solutions for the development of Paphos and Cyprus.
