Man Wanted Over Terror Charges Arrested In Cyprus

The man was wanted in Germany, and was arrested at Larnaca airport

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Friday evening at Larnaca International Airport by police and was later brought before a court, which ordered that he remain in custody until his next appearance on 13 March.

According to reports, the suspect is the subject of a Red Notice and is wanted by authorities in Germany on terrorism-related charges.

He had arrived in the Republic of Cyprus from Beirut and was in transit to another European country.

Police arrested him on the basis of a provisional warrant. He was later brought before the Larnaca District Court, which ordered his remand.
