Congestion continues at the Agios Dometios crossing point despite the completion of infrastructure expansion works, according to a report by the Turkish Cypriot online newspaper Kıbrıs Postası.

The report states that heavy traffic persists, particularly during morning hours, with students travelling to the government-controlled areas for classes and employees commuting to work facing significant delays.

Vehicle queues reportedly stretch as far as the next roundabout, with waiting times exceeding one hour.

Several readers contacted the news outlet’s hotline to complain about the ongoing inconvenience. The congestion was also documented in photographs accompanying the report.
