Six People Arrested in Police Operations

The arrests followed organised patrols aimed at preventing serious crime and enhancing public safety.

Police arrested six people for various offences, including involvement in a fight and possession of a knife, as part of organised patrols conducted at key points in urban areas to prevent serious criminal activity and maintain public order.

According to the Police Communication Branch, during overnight operations officers stopped 309 vehicles for checks, while 368 drivers and passengers were screened. A total of 34 premises were also inspected, resulting in four reports being filed.

During traffic checks, police issued 187 reports for various traffic violations, including 78 cases of speeding. A total of 61 alcohol tests were carried out with no positive results, while one driver tested positive during a preliminary drug test. One vehicle was also seized in the course of the investigations.

Police said coordinated crime prevention and suppression operations continue daily, with enhanced police presence, targeted checks and immediate operational action to protect the public and ensure public order.
