A 54 year old foreign national who was being held at Central Prisons in connection with a premeditated murder committed in Paphos in August 2025 died late on Wednesday night at Nicosia General Hospital, according to a statement by the Ministry of Justice.
The man had been hospitalised at Nicosia General Hospital in recent days following a surgical procedure and was under continuous medical observation, receiving the necessary nursing and medical care from the competent services.
His relatives have been informed of his death and all prescribed procedures are being followed.
The Department of Prisons expressed its sincere condolences to the deceased’s family, the statement concludes.
