Attempted murder in Larnaca, a man is in critical condition.

 

The Larnaca CID is investigating a case of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in his apartment this morning and is now fighting for his life at the city's general hospital.

According to the latest police report, the 32 year old was attacked and injured with a blunt instrument, with the perpetrator fleeing the scene. He underwent surgery and his condition is described as critical.

Following a search of the victim's home, small quantities of controlled substances were discovered. They included 6.5 grams of crystal meth, a bottle containing traces of crystal meth, a cannabis crusher, a plastic container with traces of white powder, two precision scales and 300 pounds in cash.

It appears that 32 year old had a verbal altercation with his attacker and despite the discoveries, it has yet to be established whether the assault was drug related.
