The three-month-old baby who was admitted last week to Makarios Hospital with Shaken Baby Syndrome has been taken off the ventilator and is currently supported with non-invasive mechanical ventilation, the spokesperson for OKYPY, Charalambos Charilaou, told KYPE.

He added that the infant’s condition remains serious but stable.

Authorities have previously arrested the baby’s 28-year-old father on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, child endangerment, abuse of a child under 16, and other negligent acts likely to cause physical injury.
