European University Cyprus (EUC) successfully hosted the SUNRISE WP3 Plenary Meeting from 30 March to 1 April 2026, bringing together 30 participants from partner institutions across Europe to strengthen collaboration and shape the next phase of the project.

As co-leader of Work Package 3 (WP3), EUC played a central role in coordinating discussions and facilitating exchange among participating institutions. The meeting focused on key priorities, including mobility initiatives, academic cooperation, employability pathways, and regional needs analysis, aiming to enhance the impact of the SUNRISE alliance.

Through interactive sessions, plenary discussions, and networking activities, partners engaged in meaningful dialogue, shared best practices, and identified new opportunities for joint action. The event also fostered stronger connections among institutions, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the SUNRISE network.

In addition to the formal programme, the final day on 1 April included a social and cultural programme, offering participants the opportunity to explore Cyprus and further strengthen informal connections within the consortium.

Reflecting the project’s vision of “Empowering Regions, Inspiring Europe”, the WP3 Plenary Meeting highlighted the collective commitment of partner universities to innovation, inclusion, and sustainable regional development in higher education.
