Hail and strong winds expected between 11am to 6pm
A yellow weather warning was issued by the met department, effective from 11 am to 6pm on Thursday.
According to the announcement, isolated but intense storms are expected to affect the island, with rainfall intensity ranging between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour.
Hail may also occur during the storms, amid strong winds.
