A 32-year-old motorcyclist is fighting for his life following a road collision in the Larnaca district on Monday.
According to the Police, the incident occurred at around 1:00 pm while the man was riding his motorcycle on the main road connecting Agia Anna and Psevdas. Under circumstances that remain under investigation, he lost control of the motorcycle, veered to the right in relation to his direction of travel and struck the pavement.
As a result of the collision, the 32-year-old was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.
Taken to Nicosia General Hospital
Traffic Police officers and members of the Kofinou Police Station attended the scene immediately. The injured rider was transported by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he is being treated in critical condition.
The Kofinou Police Station continues its investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
