Among the documents that journalist Makarios Drousiotis posted to his Facebook account in connection with the Sandy case is a screenshot showing an Excel spreadsheet. The file purports to record money transfers from Michalis Christodoulou to Sandy. It also includes an entry for a separate transaction of €250,000 involving a company listed as "PJSC BIO MED SKLO."

Searching public corporate registries, Politis identified a company bearing that name. It is a glassmaking operation based in Ukraine, owned by HGI Hellenic Glass Industry SA, the successor to the former Yioulaglass (Yioula Glassworks), founded in 1947 by Kyriacos A. Voulgarakis. According to public corporate records, the Voulgarakis family retains control of HGI to this day. Production is currently carried out outside Greece, at factories in Bulgaria and Ukraine. HGI maintains a corporate presence in Cyprus through its holding company, UGLASS HOLDING LIMITED, registered in Nicosia. According to UGLASS HOLDING's balance sheet, filed with the Registrar of Companies, it is the owner of BIO MED SKLO PRIVATE JOINT STOCK COMPANY.

HGI acquired Biomedsklo, headquartered in Zhytomyr, in 2005. The company manufactures glass containers, including bottles and jars, as well as pharmaceutical glassware such as vials and ampoules.

Politis spoke with HGI's managing director, Kyriacos Voulgarakis, who appeared surprised to hear of the alleged transaction involving his company. He said he would look into the matter and provide further information.

Banking professionals consulted by Politis noted that account transactions are not recorded in the format visible in the screenshot. What appears in the image is a list of entries in an Excel spreadsheet, not a standard bank statement. The question that remains open is how the name of a real and verifiable company came to appear in the disputed screenshot alongside the alleged transactions.
