Police have issued a warning to motorists travelling across Cyprus as adverse weather conditions continue to affect parts of the road network, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and reduced visibility.

In a statement, police said that “poor weather conditions prevail on the road network, with rainfall and strong winds,” urging drivers to exercise heightened caution.

Fog has also been reported during the morning hours on the Larnaca–Famagusta motorway near the village of Pyla, significantly limiting visibility in the area.

Motorists are advised to drive at low speeds, maintain safe distances from vehicles ahead and keep their headlights on at all times.
