Cyprus is set to open its first dedicated motorcycle training track giving riders a safe space to push their limits and a new home for the island’s growing riding culture.

Engines will echo through Kato Koutrafas on September 27, when TMM MOTORS and MOTO PISTA unveil Cyprus’ first training track built exclusively for motorcycles. The launch promises spectacle, fireworks, DJ White T, a dance show, and a showcase of bikes, but beneath the lights lies a milestone for the island’s riders.

Until now, motorcyclists in Cyprus had nowhere dedicated to refining their craft. Moto Pista aims to change that, offering riders the chance to perfect racing lines, master knee- and elbow-dragging, and even learn controlled wheelies under professional guidance. Organizers call it a “gateway to performance,” but the emphasis on structured training also makes it a gateway to safety.

That message carries weight. Every year, dozens of riders in Cyprus are seriously injured or killed on the roads. Speed, mobile phone use, and inexperience often play a part. A controlled track environment means those same riders can test their limits, learn new techniques, and build confidence without the risks of public roads.

The track also taps into a thriving community. Cyprus is home to Harley Davidson riders in Nicosia, motocross clubs in Famagusta, and vintage enthusiasts who gather around the Cyprus Classic Motorcycle Museum. Online groups bring together hundreds of bikers for weekend rides, while expos and rallies show how strong the culture has become. Moto Pista arrives into this mix as both playground and proving ground.

For many, it will be the first taste of what riding can feel like in a space designed for it. For Cyprus, it signals something bigger: motorcycles treated not only as transport or pastime, but as sport, discipline, and culture with its own dedicated home.
