For the first time in Cyprus, audiences will have the opportunity to experience a full-scale live performance dedicated to one of the most iconic bands in the history of global rock music. Don’t Stop the Queen, Hungary’s most recognised Queen tribute band and one of the most acclaimed in Europe, are coming to the island for two exclusive shows, in Larnaca and Limassol.

The performances will take place on 20 February at Savino Live Music Venue and on 21 February at Music Hall, marking a notable cultural moment that connects the Cypriot music scene with contemporary European live production.

More than a concert

More than a simple concert, Don’t Stop the Queen deliver a high-production stage experience designed to recreate not only the sound but also the spirit of rock’s golden era. The programme features timeless songs that have shaped generations, including Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You and Somebody to Love, paying tribute to the musical brilliance and stage presence of Freddie Mercury.

The band has built a strong reputation on major European festival stages and international venues, standing out for technical precision, powerful performances and strong interaction with audiences. Rather than imitation, their approach offers a contemporary and energetic revival of Queen’s musical legacy, delivered within an authentic celebratory atmosphere.

Cyprus as a cultural meeting point

The visit of Don’t Stop the Queen forms part of a broader trend of strengthening Cyprus’s cultural outreach and hosting international artistic productions. Such events contribute to positioning the island as a cultural and musical destination in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The importance of this cultural exchange was also highlighted by the Ambassador of Hungary to Cyprus, Krisztina Lakos, who said in a statement:

“Music is one of the strongest channels of cultural communication. The presence of Don’t Stop the Queen in Cyprus strengthens the dialogue between our countries and highlights the role of contemporary European creativity as a shared point of reference and exchange.”

In this sense, the production functions not only as a musical event, but also as an example of cultural diplomacy, bringing different European cultural identities closer together through the power of music.
