New revelations suggest that the Palace and King Charles were aware as early as 2019 of Prince Andrew’s questionable business connections, according to the Mail.

Police continue to search the former prince’s residences following his temporary arrest over suspected leaks of confidential information to Jeffrey Epstein. Investigations have expanded to include his security officers, with possible involvement of London airport authorities in facilitating human trafficking also under scrutiny.

The Metropolitan Police have called on current and former members of Andrew’s security team to provide any information that could assist in the Epstein-related investigations. A former head of the Royal Protection Group commented that it is unlikely the royal family was unaware of Andrew’s activities, given the constant presence of aides and security personnel.

Potential succession changes

According to the Guardian, some Members of Parliament are considering requesting a parliamentary inquiry into the role of the king’s brother as a UK trade envoy. Reports indicate that while Andrew provided information to Jeffrey Epstein, he simultaneously pressured ministers and MPs to secure a greater government role.

The British government is reportedly considering legislative action to formally remove Prince Andrew from the line of succession, where he currently stands eighth. Sources from Buckingham Palace indicate that King Charles would not object to such a move.
