Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have vowed to “hunt down” and kill Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the war involving Israel, Iran and the United States continues to escalate.

In a statement published on the Sepah News website, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that it would continue pursuing Netanyahu while accusing him of responsibility for the deaths of civilians.

“If this criminal who kills children remains alive, we will continue to pursue him and we will kill him with all our strength,” the statement said.

Fighting intensifies in southern Lebanon

At the same time, the Israeli military said its ground forces had killed dozens of Hezbollah fighters during clashes in southern Lebanon.

According to Israel’s general staff, several Hezbollah facilities were also destroyed, including a weapons storage site, a command centre and observation positions belonging to the Iran-backed Lebanese group.

Israeli ground operations continue

Ground operations have been taking place since last week in the Rab al-Thalathin area, west of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, according to reporting by the Times of Israel. The operations are aimed at dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure and pushing fighters of the Lebanese movement out of the area.

The Israeli military also announced that its Northern Command will be further reinforced next week with the deployment of the Golani Brigade.

Meanwhile, the news site Axios reported that Israel intends to take control of the entire area of southern Lebanon located south of the Litani River in an effort to dismantle Hezbollah’s military infrastructure.
