SkyUp Airlines has announced that it will continue operating direct scheduled flights between Larnaca and Chisinau during the summer 2027 season, citing strong and growing demand for air connectivity between Cyprus and Moldova.
According to the airline, ticket sales have opened for the route, with flights scheduled to operate between 26 March and 30 October 2027.
Passenger traffic surge
SkyUp said the decision reflects increasing demand for direct travel between the two countries.
According to data from Moldova's Civil Aviation Authority, passenger traffic on the Chisinau-Larnaca-Chisinau route increased by 192% in 2025 compared with 2024.
Boost for tourism and business travel
The airline said the direct connection will provide travellers with a convenient option during the summer season, while supporting:
- Tourism.
- Business travel.
- Visits to friends and relatives.
- Broader people-to-people ties between Cyprus and Moldova.
