Sirens will sound in all cities on 15 and 20 July 2026, as part of the remembrance events for the black anniversaries of the coup and the Turkish invasion.
According to an announcement by the Civil Defence Force, on 15 July the sirens will sound at 8:20 in the morning, the hour at which the 1974 coup was launched.
On 20 July, the sirens will sound at 5:30 in the morning, the hour the Turkish invasion of Cyprus began.
In both cases, the alarm activation signal will be transmitted.
