Ayia Napa has received fresh international exposure, with its iconic Nissi Beach ranked among the top coastal destinations in Europe, according to recent reports by global media outlets.
In a statement, the municipality said the latest coverage highlights the resort area as one of the Mediterranean’s leading seaside destinations.
Time Out placed Nissi Beach second among the ten best beach destinations in Europe for summer 2026, recognising Ayia Napa’s appeal as a location combining natural beauty, accessibility and high tourism value.
The Daily Mirror also featured Nissi Beach in a recent travel guide highlighting European beaches with favourable summer conditions.
Mayor Christos Zannetou described the recognition as both a source of pride and an incentive to continue improving the destination.
“This international acknowledgement reflects the collective effort of the local community,” he said, adding that the municipality remains committed to upgrading services, protecting the natural environment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Zannetou stressed that Ayia Napa will continue working to enhance the quality of its tourism offering, ensuring the area remains a leading destination for visitors.
