The Republic of Cyprus has delivered a new humanitarian aid shipment to Lebanon through the CyprusAid programme, following a decision by the Council of Ministers.
The assistance, valued at approximately €200,000, was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
Shipment arrives in Beirut
The cargo consisted of 31 containers carrying pharmaceutical products and medical supplies. It departed from Limassol port on 26 July 2026 and has since arrived at the port of Beirut, according to a post by the Foreign Ministry on X.
The latest delivery brings the total value of humanitarian assistance provided by Cyprus to Lebanon since the beginning of 2026 to €840,000.
Scholarships for Lebanese citizens
CyprusAid will also offer scholarships to Lebanese citizens in September. These will include short-term placements for seminars and training programmes organised through CyprusAid, as well as longer-term scholarships for studies at higher education institutions in Cyprus.
