Spate of Break-Ins Hits Kiosks and Pharmacies in Aradippou

Police say two kiosks, two pharmacies and a shop were targeted overnight, with only small change taken from a single till.

A spate of break-ins and attempted break-ins was reported overnight in Aradippou, targeting two kiosks, two pharmacies and a shop. The cash register drawer and additional coins from the counter were stolen from one kiosk, while at the remaining premises the perpetrators either failed to gain entry or, according to the owners, do not appear to have taken anything. Investigations by Aradippou Police Station are ongoing.

According to the police press office, a report of a possible break-in at a kiosk, along with a complaint of a possible break-in at a pharmacy, both in the Aradippou area, was received at around 3.40am today. Police officers went to the area to investigate.

Following their examination, officers confirmed that the kiosk had been broken into and that the cash register drawer, containing coins, along with additional coins from the counter, had been stolen. Officers also confirmed an attempted break-in at the pharmacy, though the perpetrators did not succeed in entering the premises.

Separately, a report was received of a possible break-in at a shop in the Aradippou area. Following their examination, police confirmed the shop had been broken into, though according to its owners, nothing appears to have been stolen.

Police further confirmed, during their examination of the area, an attempted break-in at a second pharmacy and a second kiosk. In both cases, the perpetrators failed to gain entry, and no property was taken. Aradippou Police Station's investigations remain ongoing.
