Weak high pressure is beginning to affect the region.
Today
The weather will be mainly clear, although locally increased cloud will develop after midday. In mountainous areas, there is a slight chance of isolated showers.
Winds will initially be light sea breezes at 3 Beaufort, gradually turning south-westerly to north-westerly at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort on windward coasts.
The sea will be calm to slightly rough, becoming slightly rough later in southern, western and northern areas.
Temperatures will rise to around 33°C inland, about 28°C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 26°C on the western and northern coasts and close to 22°C in higher mountainous areas.
Tonight
The weather will remain mainly clear, although low cloud may form along coastal areas at times.
Later and during the early morning hours, patchy mist or fog may develop, particularly inland and in eastern areas.
Winds will ease to light and variable or downslope at 2 to 3 Beaufort, while the sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Temperatures will drop to around 16°C inland and on the northern coasts, about 18°C on the remaining coasts and around 12°C in the higher mountains.
Outlook
Wednesday: Mostly clear with intervals of cloud. A chance of isolated rain in the mountains during the afternoon.
Thursday and Friday: Mainly clear weather, with occasional local cloud.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly and will remain close to seasonal averages.
