Seasonal low pressure continues to affect the region.
Today, conditions will be mostly clear at first. By midday and during the afternoon, locally increased cloud cover is expected to produce isolated showers, mainly over mountainous areas.
Winds will initially be light and variable at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally on the southern and southwestern coasts reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort during the afternoon.
The sea will be slight.
Temperatures are expected to reach:
- Around 40°C inland
- Around 31°C on the western and southwestern coasts
- Around 35°C on the remaining coastal areas
- Around 30°C in the higher mountains
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, although periods of increased low cloud are expected locally, mainly in western areas.
Winds will gradually become mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, light at up to 3 Beaufort, while the sea will be calm to slight.
Overnight temperatures will fall to:
- Around 23°C inland
- Around 24°C along the coast
- Around 20°C in the higher mountains
On Wednesday and Thursday, increased cloud cover during the afternoon is likely to bring isolated showers over mountainous areas.
On Friday, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected in the mountains and possibly in parts of the interior.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Thursday. A slight decrease is forecast on Friday, bringing values closer to seasonal averages.
