Temperatures in 37 cities abroad ranged from 2°C in Oslo to 39.9°C in Kuwait, according to CNA's report at 12:00 UTC (3pm Cyprus time) on Saturday. The Gulf recorded the highest readings, with Kuwait at 39.9°C, Bahrain at 37°C and Jeddah at 34°C, while closer to home Tel Aviv reached 28°C and Beirut 27.5°C. Much of southern Europe enjoyed clear or mostly sunny skies, with Athens and Istanbul both at 27°C, while northern Europe was considerably cooler and light rain fell in Warsaw, Prague and Stockholm.
