The Cyprus Greens – Citizens’ Cooperation Movement has decided to hold an Extraordinary Nationwide Election Conference on Saturday, 14 November 2026.
The decision was taken by the movement’s Central Committee during a meeting on Sunday.
According to a statement, the election process will cover the positions of President, Deputy President and Vice-President B. Several vacancies on the Central and Political Committees, as well as the District Committees, will also be filled.
Membership requirements temporarily relaxed
The Central Committee also decided to activate Article 61, which allows all required periods of prior membership in the movement to be temporarily waived, subject to conditions, for the purposes of participating in the elections.
The relaxation applies to people who are already registered members and friends of the movement, members of affiliated organisations, and individuals who have previously participated as cooperating candidates in elections, including parliamentary, European Parliament and local elections.
The movement said the measure was intended to allow eligible existing members and supporters to take part in the 14 November electoral process without the usual prior-membership requirements.
People interested in participating, including members and friends of the movement, have been invited to contact the Greens to arrange their registration and secure their right to participate in the election process.
