Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will make a working visit to Cyprus on October 29 and 30 and will meet President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, according to a written statement by Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis.

The two Presidents will hold a private meeting at the Presidential Palace on Thursday morning and will then attend a working lunch, the Spokesperson said.

This will be the third meeting between the two Presidents since Nikos Christodoulides was elected President of the Republic. Their most recent meeting took place in Palestine in May 2025.

According to the Government Spokesperson, the meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss Cyprus-Palestine bilateral relations, the situation in the region, Cyprus’ humanitarian role, including through the «Amalthea» humanitarian aid corridor to Gaza, EU-Palestine relations, and the latest developments on the Cyprus issue.

“Cyprus and Palestine are linked by historically long-standing relations and close ties, both at the political level and in other areas, as well as through cooperation between the two peoples,” the statement said.
