Repatriation flights for Cypriot citizens stranded in dangerous areas due to the situation in the Middle East are continuing for a fourth day on Saturday.

Another Cyprus Airways repatriation flight from Dubai is expected to land tonight at 20:05 at Larnaca’s Glafcos Clerides Airport, carrying 170 citizens, including two infants.

So far, 805 Cypriots have been repatriated, 781 of whom were brought back from the United Arab Emirates.

On Friday, two additional flights arrived from Dubai, transporting 293 citizens back to Cyprus.

Cyprus is among the first countries to charter commercial flights for the repatriation of its citizens, with the cost fully covered by the state. A crisis management centre is also operating around the clock.

Authorities say the effort will continue until all compatriots located in dangerous areas have returned home.
