The Limassol CID is looking into a case of premeditated murder committed this morning in a Yermasoyia apartment.

The victim has been identified as 30 year old Nigerian national Victory Osarumen Thompson.

Police were alerted by the ambulance service around 1030 after they were called to the scene and discovered the body.

Investigators rushed to the scene, with coroners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou performing a post mortem.

It was established that the woman bears injuries, that are believed to be the result of beatings, across her face and various parts of her torso.

Following a preliminary on-scene investigation and evaluation of testimony, three women, two aged 24 and a 35 year old, all compatriots and flatmates of the victim, were arrested and remanded in custody.

The suspects, who moved in with the woman just four days ago, denied involvement and have made a number of claims that are now under investigation.

The post mortem will be performed tomorrow morning as the Limassol CID is looking into forensic evidence.
