Severe rainfall and dense fog in the Troodos area are affecting the road network and traffic as of around 9 a.m. on Saturday, with the police urging drivers to exercise extreme caution.

According to a police statement, all roads in Troodos remain open to vehicles. However, the combination of heavy rain and thick fog has made roads slippery and visibility dangerously limited.

Police officers are patrolling the area to monitor conditions and provide assistance, particularly at locations where landslides, falling rocks, or water accumulation have been reported.

Authorities are advising motorists to drive at reduced speeds, maintain safe distances from other vehicles, keep headlights on, and exercise extra care in areas where water is pooling on the road.
