Police and Army Probe 13.6kg TNT Disappearance During Exercise

Investigations continue into the disappearance of 13.6 kilograms of TNT during an engineering exercise at the Kalo Chorio firing range, authorities have confirmed.

Speaking to CNA, Defence Ministry spokesperson Christos Pieris said that the inquiry, which involves the National Guard and the police, is ongoing, though no official findings are available at this time.

The incident occurred during a scheduled National Guard exercise, when an expected detonation failed to occur. Following the standard safety wait, personnel discovered that the explosives were missing. Officials are currently investigating the possibility that the TNT was stolen.
