A weak low pressure system is affecting the area, bringing periods of cloud and unstable conditions. Rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected from Tuesday onwards, as temperatures gradually decline to near climatological norms.

A weak low pressure system continues to influence the region.
Today, periods of increased cloud cover will be observed. Winds will blow from the south west to north west, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, while the sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures are expected to rise to around 20 degrees Celsius inland and along the coast, and to 13 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Conditions overnight
Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy at times, mainly due to medium and high level cloud. Locally, increased low cloud will be observed and there is a possibility of light fog forming in some areas.
Winds will be mainly north west to north east, light at around 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 8 degrees inland, approximately 11 degrees along the coast, and 5 degrees in the higher mountains.
Outlook for the coming days
On Tuesday, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with localised rain and isolated thunderstorms expected during the afternoon, mainly affecting the western half of the island.
On Wednesday and Thursday, localised rain and isolated thunderstorms are forecast across most areas.
