Former Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna will be the guest speaker at a public discussion in Nicosia later this month focusing on leadership, diplomacy and European decision-making.
The event, titled "A Leadership Journey at the Heart of Europe", is being organised by AIPFE Cyprus-Women of Europe in collaboration with the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus and the European Parliament Liaison Office in Cyprus.
Focus on leadership and public service
The conversation will take place on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, from 6pm to 7.15pm, at the CYBC Archive Event Hall, 2 RIK Avenue, Aglantzia, Nicosia.
Moderated by journalist Vivian Kanari, the discussion will explore leadership, representation and influence at the highest levels of European decision-making.
According to the organisers, the conversation will place particular emphasis on public service, diplomacy, resilience and the personal experience of leading initiatives of national importance.
Spotlight on Cyprus' role in Europe
Raouna played a central role in coordinating and implementing the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, an effort that placed Cyprus at the centre of European decision-making and strengthened its role within the bloc.
