Cyprus has officially joined the world of Google Street View, now available on Google Maps! Simply search for “Cyprus Street View” and begin your virtual journey across the island.

Cyprus is no longer just a destination, it’s an experience you can explore with a single click. Google has officially launched Street View in Cyprus, making it the last EU country to be added to the company’s panoramic global mapping network.

With over 10,000 kilometers of roads captured, from capital Nicosia's old wall to the serene trails of Troodos, users can now virtually wander every corner of the island: stroll along Paphos’ seafront, climb the slopes of Kakopetria, or get lost in the winding alleys of old Nicosia.

The addition of Cyprus to Street View completes Google’s coverage of all EU nations on its popular Maps platform. The 360° panoramic images were taken by Google’s specialized vehicles, using advanced technology that ensures privacy protection by blurring faces and license plates.

“This project brings Cyprus closer to the world,” said a Google spokesperson. “From ancient landmarks and mountain villages to coastal cities, Street View highlights the island’s cultural heritage and natural beauty.”

Virtual journeys: Old town to Cape Greco

Through Google’s digital lens, Cyprus unfolds in a series of iconic locations that blend history, nature, and myth:

  • Choirokoitia – A Neolithic settlement and UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the oldest traces of Cypriot civilization.

  • Aphrodite’s Rock (Petra tou Romiou) – The legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, where the sunsets are simply breathtaking.

  • Troodos Mountains – Picturesque villages, Byzantine churches, and scenic hiking trails.

  • Cape Greco – Sea caves, natural stone arches, and the endless blue of the Blue Lagoon.

  • Kolossi Castle – A medieval fortress symbolizing Cyprus’ crossroads of trade and culture.

  • Kato Paphos Archaeological Park & Tombs of the Kings – UNESCO sites famed for their mosaics and ancient ruins.

For travelers, researchers, or nostalgic locals, Google Street View opens a new window onto the island. From anywhere in the world, you can find yourself in the heart of the Mediterranean — exploring the lanes of Karpasia or enjoying a virtual stroll along Larnaca’s palm-lined Finikoudes Beach.

So technology meets a mythical aura and the island's rich cultural layers. And Cyprus now takes its place on the digital map of world exploration.

Available now on Google Maps. Search “Cyprus Street View” and start your journey today!
