A possible suspicious object has been detected in the airspace near Lebanon, according to a post on X by Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis. The announcement stated that the competent authorities were informed and acted immediately for precautionary reasons.

The spokesperson said that all appropriate measures have been taken to investigate the matter and, if required, to address the incident.

“For preventive reasons, all appropriate measures have been taken by the competent authorities for the investigation and, if required, the handling of the incident. A further update will follow regarding the outcome,” Mr Letymbiotis stated.
