New voters are therefore urged to submit their applications in time to ensure they can exercise their voting rights without impediment.

Eligibility criteria

According to an announcement by the Ministry of the Interior, the right to vote is granted to all citizens of the Republic aged 18 and over who have had their habitual residence in Cyprus for the past six months.

Young people who turn 18 by the date of the elections are also entitled to register, provided that their application is submitted during the final quarterly revision of the electoral roll before the elections, from 3 January 2026 until 2 April 2026.

Turkish Cypriots holding an identity card of the Republic of Cyprus with an address in the government-controlled areas are also entitled to register.

For individuals up to the age of 25, applications may also be submitted electronically through the Elections website at elections.gov.cy.

Printed applications may be submitted at local District Administration Offices, Citizen Service Centres and Citizen Centres of the Cyprus Post. Application forms are available at the above locations, at the Ministry of the Interior and on the elections website at www.elections.gov.cy.
