The Turkish Cypriot leader described his meeting with UN envoy María Ángela Holguín as productive, and pledged to keep contributing in good faith ahead of Tuesday and Wednesday's talks with Guterres.

Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman said he will continue to contribute in good faith to the UN Secretary-General's efforts, so that Tuesday and Wednesday's meetings prove fruitful, in a post following his meeting with María Ángela Holguín earlier on Monday.

According to reports from the north, Erhürman added that, as he had also said yesterday, he had met with the Secretary-General's Personal Envoy as part of preparations for the visit, and described the meeting as productive. "We will continue to contribute in good faith to the Secretary-General's efforts, so that the meetings taking place tomorrow and the day after are productive," he said.
